Our Coaches
Portland Reign's Coaches work as a staff and help all teams grow and develop. We take pride in helping each other, and supporting as many teams as possible. All of our coaches love being in the gym and supporting every team in the program.

Xavier Green
Coach
You can really use the tools and principles this game teaches you. On and off the court in life. AAU basketball definitely helped me make a name for myself as a player around the Northwest. I just want to share my experience and love for the game with our youth in a community I grew up in. Be that extra advice and guidance many of us didn’t have coming up. Portland Reign Basketball gives me a platform to do that. - Coach X

Coach
Coaching is an outlet to express my love for the game and giving back the lessons and structure to lives of the youth the game has taught me. I enjoy watching and seeing the development and growth in kids, and leading by example. - Coach Marv
Robert Peterson
Coach
Robert is in his first year coaching with the Reign, and in his third year coaching overall. After spending time in Seattle leading summer camps, he moved back down to Oregon earlier this year to help coach the youth of Portland.
He has DIII level experience, where he worked out and trained with the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater basketball team for a year before moving to Oregon in 2015.
He enjoys seeing the progress athletes make over the years. His free time is devoted to basketball but he does have a passion for music criticism from his many years working live entertainment events. - Coach Rob
